Irene Claude

Irene Claude teaches flute at her studio in Hyde Park and performs as a substitute musician with Illinois Philharmonic, Lithuanian Opera Company of Chicago, New Philharmonic, Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra, and the South Bend Symphony Orchestra. She is the Chapel Administrator at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel and Business Manager for Marsha’s Music. She has taught flute at Saint Xavier University, South Suburban College, Whitney M. Young Magnet High School and St. Giles School in Oak Park, and was a member of the Lake Forest Symphony for 22 years.

Irene has a Master of Music degree from DePaul University and a Bachelor in Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She has completed Suzuki pedagogy studies, and training in Dalcroze, Music Together, Kodaly, and Orff Schulwerk. She is a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Chicago Flute Club, Music Teachers of Hyde Park, National Flute Association, and Suzuki Association of the Americas.
