SUMMER ENSEMBLE FEST


Summer Ensemble Fest is a program for students 8-18 years old who are interested in rehearsing and performing music together.  Students will be coached in repertoire and ensemble technique and will participate in a variety of instrumental ensembles and workshops including theory, composing, and conducting. In addition there will be a field trip to a Millennium Park concert and a performance at the end of the session. High school students may be placed in leadership roles, such as coaching, conducting and helping with workshops.

Date: July 6 - July 16    Monday - Thursday, 3:00-5:30 PM

The Fourth Monday concert series at the Blackstone Public Library:

The 2010 series began on January 25 with a concert by Phyllis Calderon and friends.

The series will continue on February 22, 2010 at our new time, 6:30 PM with Elaine Smith, piano; Lizbeth Bistrow, violin; Daniel Golden, viola; Van Bistrow, cello, performing Schumann Piano Quartet in E flat Major.
