MTHP Programs

MTHP offers programs for the whole community at the Blackstone Library

    
  • Student Workshops: Students perform for each other followed by a group activity.
  • Once-a-month student recitals: Students perform compositions by memory. Family and friends are invited.
  • Performathon: Students raise money for a worthy cause in our neighborhood such as the Hyde Park Kenwood Interfaith Council Hunger Project. During the all-day performathon students perform in their own teacher's studio recital.
  • Chamber Music Day: Students play chamber music in an informal setting with teachers, amateur and professional musicians. This is a rehearsal with coaching provided.
  • Concerto Day: Student may play one movement of a concerto with Chamber Orchestra which includes other teachers, amateurs, professionals and advanced students.
  • Adult informal workshop: Adult students perform for each other in an informal setting.
  • Fourth Monday Recital Series: MTHP and friends perform for the community. These recitals take place at the Blackstone Library. Admission is free and open to the public. 7:30 PM.
